  2. Overview • Serving Integrators and OEMs • with Performance Network Video Solutions • Privately held company, founded in 2004 • Merged with Video Furnace in 2009 (VF founded 2002) • Headquartered in Montreal, QC and Chicago, IL • Codec development began in 1997 (initially GDC) • Now on our 6th generation encoder technology – our 4th generation H.264 encoder!! • Global Distribution Network of 80+ top tier integrators, dealers and OEMs • Original core R&D team still in place since 1997 • Over 4,000 systems installed worldwide

  3. Clients

  4. Clients

  5. Medical Connect operating rooms together, to doctors desktops, to pathology labs, to conference centers, to the internet ….. driving interactive healthcare establishing IP review systems reducing cost of AV infrastructure enabling HD communications TeleSurgery Communications Distribution “HaiVision is known to have provided the fastest High Definition video encoders ever. A delay of 1 or 2 seconds is not acceptable for surgery but the MAKOs are able to go under the limit of 100 ms which is corresponding to the medical needs.” - CRAN

  6. TelePresence Connect executives together, remove the complexities of technology, and provide an environment where emotions can be expressed over long periods ….. reducing travel costs providing always on connectivity allowing seamless communications across the world Remote Simultaneous Interpretation European Commission - Brussels “1/3 of videoconferencing managers report that the economic crisis is likely to lead to accelerated deployments, not slowdowns….. 23% have either deployed telepresence suites or are planning on deploying within one year” – Wainhouse 01/09 Pearson Publishing – Boardroom Integrated by: Teliris HALO – TelePresence Suite Produced by: Hewlett Packard

  7. Defense Deliver low latency video combined with metadata from field operations to Operations Command ….. increased responsiveness decreased bandwidth utilization – more video channels migrate systems to a unified standards based platform Long Range Surveillance Video & Data “The shortage of full-motion video reduces the amount of enemy that you can monitor, it reduces your eyes,” [explains Brig. Gen. Michael S. Tucker]. “You just can’t give me enough....” – Washington Post, October 29, 2008

  8. Education Deliver TV content over IP across campuses to desktops and STB driven displays ….. reduce costs associated with RF distribution increase flexibility of delivery institute controls, low cost internal broadcast, VoD, live record and rebroadcast

  9. Broadcast Bring together remote talent with interactive systems and eliminate the awkwardness of satellite latency ….. improve believability of interviews dramatically reduce the costs and scheduling challenges of satellite trend – use enterprise grade systems for further cost reductions Affordable VSAT Mobile Broadcasters Integrated by: DC-SAT.Net ORT/OTV

  10. Worship • Connecting communities in prayer • One way streaming or two way interactive communications Prestonwood Baptist - Dallas “The incredible image quality and tightly synced audio and video of the HD stream allow us to share music and messages and enjoy a common spiritual connection and experience across our campuses.” – Bobby Reynolds, director of media services, Prestonwood Baptist Eagle Brook – Multi-site Church Integrated by: AVI Systems

  11. H.264 Flexible H.264 encoding is the basis of all network video media deployments. DVD/BluRay Conferencing MPEG-2 H.261, H.263 Adobe Flash Broadcast M-JPEG, MPEG-2 ON2/VP6 Satellite Apple/iPod QuickTime MPEG-2 Microsoft Silverlight Windows Media / VC1

  18. Solutions HaiVision’s solutions are based on: • Performance & efficiency – moving video effectively over IP • Compatibility – once encoded video must be useful across many platforms and networks, viewable on many devices • Ease of deployment & use – systems that create roadblocks for IT (implementers) or users will not gain acceptance. Acceptance = success. • Security – all enterprise systems need some level of security. Example for medical, administrators need to know (and control) who sees what and when.
