  2. Introductions/welcome: • Each instructional leader introduces themselves and shares what role they play at their school

  3. Review Agenda together

  4. Year long essential question: How can we ensure that we close opportunity gaps for all our students, leaving nothing to chance, as we move from good to great?

  5. Content Objectives • Leaders will analyze the Five Insights for Success in the article Leaving Nothing to Chance. • Leaders will evaluate the Good to Great Diagnostic Tool

  6. Language Objectives • Leaders will read the article and write a brief group-statement that summarizes how the insights can support students and teachers at their school. Groups will discussthe summaries with each other. • Leaders will read the diagnostic tool and discuss ideas gained from previewing the tool.

  7. Significant Tasks • • Whole Group views the first page of the article, Leaving Nothing to Chance. • • Break into five groups. • • Each group will use the Jigsaw Carousel Protocol to analyze one of The Insights for Success from the article. • • Together they will analyze the insight and discuss how their school could use the information based on what we’ve learned from our data and what we know about our students. • • Each group will compose a brief statement that summarizes how the insight can support students and teachers at their school. • • Group discussion. • • In pairs, leaders will preview the Good to Great Diagnostic Tool and find ideas they can use in their schools. • LUNCH 12:30-1:45 • • What role can CESDP associates play to most effectively support your school’s EPSS? • • What materials would be most supportive? • • Share plans and possibilities. • • Create a calendar for the next three Leadership Summits. • • Evaluations
