  2. This toolkit is designed to help people around the country make a difference in the fight to curb global warming by mobilizing their community. Initially, it may seem daunting to get your city committed to fighting global warming and taking steps to cut heat-trapping emissions, but once you get started accomplishing the ten steps in this toolkit, and they hope that you will find yourself. Own words: feeling confident that you and your neighbors can really make a difference.

  3. About. • That’s where you come in. The Cool Cities campaign is about getting mayors around thecountry to sign the US Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement and then put real policies in place • that will cut heat-trapping greenhouse gases.

  4. As oil and electricity prices continue to skyrocket across the United States, citizens and governments alike are realizing that we must take energy use seriously. In many instances, local governments are leading the charge, creating sophisticated action plans to reduce energy use and develop alternative energy sources. The 33 cities and towns within the Sierra Club’s Greater Boston group’s area vary greatly when it comes to energy:
