  2. Here Comes Redwood!! • Winter Workshop is Friday, December 21st. • For those of you who have experienced Winter Workshop as a student at Redwood, remember how special this day was for you, and let’s continue making this a memorable day for everyone.

Winter Workshop • We will preview all the workshops that will be offered to Redwood students. • Each workshop will require many FBHS student helpers. • Discuss this list with your friends and sign-up for a workshop on Monday, December 3rd. • PLEASE NOTE - the locations listed in this Power Point are for sign-ups only. • If you don’t sign-up for a workshop, you will be assigned to one, so be sure you make a choice. • And YES! You need to attend school on December 21st. If you are absent, this will count for one full day of absence from ALL of your classes.

  4. 2012 Workshops • NUTCRACKER: In this workshop, FBHS students work with the “littles” (Redwood students) to get them ready to dance and juggle to the Nutcracker. Teachers - Ms. Nella & Mr. Steinacher (room 115) • FACE PAINTING: Paint the faces of the littles with Mrs. Calvert (room 129) or Mr. Rain. (room 213) • GINGERBREAD MEN : Be a part of the story telling magic and help your littles decorate notepads with Mrs. Oliphant and Mrs. Fishman. (room 110) • HAYRIDE: Work with Mr. Skinner and Mr. Kirkley to help the littles stay safe and enjoy a hayride on campus. (room 111)

  5. 2012 Workshops • LADYBUGS: Work one-on-one with the littles to create a tiny ladybug and headband antennas with Mrs. Fairall and Ms. Tichinin. (room 124) • ORIGAMI: Help the littles make a tiny origami frog with Mrs. Knott and Ms. Musgrove. (room F 106) • THE MITTEN: In this workshop, the littles hear the story of The Mitten and work with FBHS students to create a wonderful craft from the story. Teachers – Ms. Cochran-Keith & Ms. Morse (room 106) • DINNER BOOK: Work with the littles in the library with Mrs. Duffy and Ms. Hayes creating a special dinner book. (library)

  6. 2012 Workshops • GAMES IN THE GYM: Join Ms. Butler and Mr. Cimolino as they race, run, and play with the littles in the gym. (gym) • WINTER CARNIVAL GAME: Work with Mrs. Iversen and Mrs. Makela as they create a winter wonderland for the littles complete with fishing poles and prizes. (Culinary Arts) • STAR WARS CARNIVAL GAMES: Mr. Brown and Mr. Carr use the Force to create a series of games fit for the Empire. (room 109) • RELAY RACES: Team up with Ms. Davis and Mr. Dow as they run the littles through relay races and have tons of fun! (room 119)

  7. 2012 Workshops • WOOD CRAFT: Join Mr. Costello and Mr. Arreguin in the woodshop to help the littles create a woodshop masterpiece. (Woodshop) • OBSTACLE COURSE: Help Mr. Hoch guide the littles through the inflatable obstacle course. (room 120) • BOUNCE HOUSE: Help Mr. Totten guide the littles through the inflatable bounce house. (room 117) • PETTING ZOO: Enjoy animals? This is the workshop for you! Work with Mr. Wuoltee and Ms. Cleveland in the petting zoo. (room 122)

  8. 2012 Workshops • GUIDES: Every classroom at Redwood needs a guide to lead them through Winter Workshop. Work with the counseling office to help bring the Redwood students to FBHS and guide them through a wonderful day! (room 113) • SNACK DELIVERY: Help Mrs. Finkelstein and Mr. Johkie deliver snack to all the Redwood students throughout their Winter Workshop experience. Snacks will be delivered throughout the day so many hands are needed for help. (room 107)

  9. Make Your Choice • Every advisory teacher has a list of all the workshops available. • You can view the list in the library display window as well. • All students need to make their workshop selection on Monday, December 3rd, during advisory class. • On Monday, December 10th, all students will learn to what workshop they’ve been assigned. • During advisory class on Thursday (12/13/12) all students will report to their workshop location to learn about their job and do a practice run of their workshop with their teachers.
