From the Year One Peer Evaluation Report: “The Evaluation Committee recommends that Clackamas Community College clarify the various statements of mission in order that the specific mission of the college may be generally understood by its community; in addition, the college should clarify how the Core Theme objectives match up with the fundamental elements of the mission. (1.A.1)”

  4. Our Year 1 Report – Mission: b) Standard 1A Mission: To serve the people of the college district with quality education and training opportunities that are accessible to all students, adaptable to changing needs, and accountable to the community we serve.

Visions to Reality - Mission Statement: mission The mission of Clackamas Community College is to serve the people of the college district with quality education and training opportunities: • as a two-year college accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges • as a publicly supported, community-based organization, governed by a locally elected Board of Education • through programs and courses in professional-technical, liberal arts and sciences (college transfer), basic skills, adult interest, and custom-designed courses and support services • within available resources from student tuition and fees, local property taxes, state funds, and additional resource development activities (i.e., state and federal grants, individual and corporate gifts, etc.). philosophy The college’s mission is implemented with a commitment to being accessible, adaptable, and accountable.
