  4. Reliability Defined • The extent to which the assessment instrument yields consistent results for each student.

  6. Factors of Student Performance • Test Anxiety • Day-to-Day change in students I.e. • Health, motivation, mood, energy level • Physical Environment- • Temperature,noise level, outside distractions

  7. Factors for Teachers • Attitude • Tired • Not consistent • Organized

  8. Things to Remember • Include several tasks and look for consistency in students performance • Define each task clearly- • Identify specific, concrete criteria on which you will evaluate students performance • Do not let your expectations of a student influence your judgement • Avoid assessing students when they are • Tired,ill, or out of sorts

  9. Remember Assessment Tests are never 100% reliable.
