  2. Challenges • Communities on North Efate have economic opportunities (market), easy transport (new road), so aren’t around as much. • Communities on North Efate are often recipients of programs and activities because of proximity to Port Vila, so it isn’t as new and exciting.

  3. Peace Corps Involvement • Started in 2009 with Obed coming to introduce SS at Pre Service Training • Obed and Jayleen came to talk with CH PCVs at training in Feb • Identified Epi as a potential island (relatively short flight from Vila, three CH Volunteers on the ground) • PCVs liaised with their communities • Obed went to Epi to meet with communities • PCVL (Volunteer leader) worked with Obed to liaise with Epi Volunteers
