Disproportionate RepresentationJune 2007 – Spring 2008 December 2007 • TEA convened stakeholder group • Discussed implementation of federal requirements for disproportionate representation and significant disproportionality • Based on feedback TEA will develop guidance and provide direction to LEAs

Disproportionate RepresentationJune 2007 – Spring 2008 Spring 2008 • TEA to conduct statistical analysis to determine significant disproportionality • Analysis will focus on 301 LEAs • Identified LEAs will: • Review policies, practices & procedures concerning identification practices • Report revisions to policies, practices & procedures to public • Be required to use EIS funds
