NORMS OF S.S.A. : • Teacher : • - One teacher for every 40 children in Primary and Upper Primary . • - At least two teachers in a Primary School. • - One teacher for every class in the Upper Primary. • Free Text Books: • All girls / SC/ST students at Primary and Upper Primary level are provided with free text books. • Teacher Training : • Provision of 20 days in-service training for all teachers in a year. • VEC :A 9 member Village Education Committee (VEC) is formed in each formal schools . • BRC / CRC : • Block Resource Centres are to be established in each CD blocks of the district. Each CD block is again classified in to 17 Clusters and Cluster Resource Centres(CRCs) are to be established in each 17 Clusters of the block . • .

  12. PLANNING & MANAGEMENT • Cluster Level Planning Team (CLPT). A nine member Cluster Level Planning Team has already been formed at each cluster to prepare a need based grass root educational plan for the respective cluster. The CRCC of the concerned cluster is the member convener of the CLPT . • Block level Planning Team (BLPT). A twelve member block level planning team has already been constituted to prepare block level educational plan . The BDO and BRCC of the concerned block are the chairman and member convenor respectively of the BLPT . • Orientation of BRCCs and CRCCs on Educational Planning . All 5 BRCCs and 48 CRCCs have already been oriented on the planning process , information collection methodologies , educational indicators and preparation of block and cluster level educational plan . • Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWP&B). The Annual Work Plan & Budget (2008-2009) of the district has already been prepared and at submitted at S.P.O after due approval from Collector-cum-Chairman , SSA , Jharsuguda.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM • The Data from school level has been collected through DISE, the database has been maintained for last four years. • The Analysis of DISE has been done and shared with the District Level officials. • Child Tracking System 2007 which updated the profile of the every child through implementation of VER from the year 2007. • Child Tracking System 2007 were conducted and the survey was finished within due time and the Entry has been completed by OCAC except the data entry of the children comes under age group 0 to 5+ tracked through the e-Pragati of W&CD, Jharsuguda. • The Planning of the district has been made on the basis of CTS data and DISE . • All the BRCCs have already been oriented on PMIS & EMIS throughout the district for better monitoring and implementation of the project work.

GIRLS EDUCATION • LIFE SKILL EDUCATION:- A new module has been developed by OPEPA named “PRAYAS’ which comprises all round development of women from birth to death. • VEC Training:-As per the guidelines of the Govt. of Orissa. VEC has been formed in all schools in the district. Each VEC consist of 9 members. • MTA Training:- In each school 9 members shall be imparted for 2 days training which will help the drop out & participation of community. Through this training the mothers are trained about their duties & responsibilities to make their children good citizen in future. • Free Uniform Distribution:- Free uniform has been distributed to the 35131 no. of girls students (Class I to VIII) of all formal schools & SCST Devt. Dept. Its objective is to attract the girl students towards school. The all process completed by placing the fund to the VEC account.

  17. TRIBAL EDUCATION • SRUJAN is an integrated cluster based programme, in which the community, children, teachers, tribal youths, field functionaries are to be actively involved. This is basically a child friendly, community based, culturally supported teacher driven programme which will support high enrolment and low dropout of tribal children. • RUPANTAR is a teacher training programme on attitudinal change of teachers working in tribal areas. • JATIMAHASABHA is a community based programme , through which Tribal Community members , BRPs and VEC members were oriented. • PRI meetings on SRUJAN to orient the Local representative like Sarapancha, Chairman, and Ward members.

  19. CIVIL STATUS • SSA, Jharsuguda has been doing a no. of civil construction works in order to improve the infrastructural environment of different schools at elementary level since 2003.
