Immigration: Work Permit Who is eligible? • Foreign national • Intention to work more than 90 days What are the requirements? • Copy of passport • 2 passport photos • Police certificate • Medical certificate • Reference • Copy of certificates • Copy of job vacancy (newspaper) • Certification from labour department

Immigration: Spousal Permit Who is eligible? • Foreign spouse of Bahamian citizen (married less than 5 years) • Must be living together as husband/wife What are the requirements? • Copy of passport • Copy of spouse’s passport • 2 passport photos • Police certificate • Medical certificate • Certified Marriage Certificate

Immigration: Permanent Belonger Permit • As applicable • Passport copy (spouse) • Certified copy of birth certificate/translated (spouse) • Copy (any) naturalization (spouse) • Copy of Bahamian Registration/Naturalization (spouse) • Certified copy MC/ translated • Certified copy of BC (children from marriage) • Certified copy of BC (children outside marriage) • Death/divorce certificate • Adoption certificate • Deed Poll • Job letter (spouse) Who is eligible? • Eligible for citizenship under Article 7 of The Constitution (i.e. born in Bahamas to foreign parents) • Eligible for citizenship under Article 9 of The Constitution (i.e. persons born outside The Bahamas to a married Bahamian mother and foreign father) • Foreign-born offspring of a Bahamian male referred to in Articles 3(2) and 8 of The Constitution What are the requirements? • Medical Certificate • Police character certificate • 2 passport photos • Valid copy of passport • Original BC (English translated), authenticated from MFA • Job letter (applicant)

Immigration: Permanent Residency Who is eligible? • Married to Bahamian national (+ 5 years) • Born outside of The Bahamas to a married Bahamian woman, foreign father • Financially independent or economic investors (+750,000.00) • Police/prison officers (min. 10 years) • Teachers/charitable/religious institutions (min. 10 years) • Nurses (min. 10 years) • Pastors/Priests (min. 20 years) • Doctors/Medical (min. 20 years) • Haitian nationals residing in Bahamas prior to 1985 on work/resident permit (for more than 20consecutiveyears) What are the requirements? • Passport Copy • 2 passport photos • Police character certificate • Original birth certificate (official English translation) • Medical Certificate • 2 character references (by Bahamian citizens, 5 years +) • Parents’ birth certificate • Parents’ marriage certificate • Marriage certificate (if married) • Spouse’s death certificate (if widowed) • Divorce decree (if divorced) • Financial statements
