  3. Requirements to Donate Blood • Donor must: • Be at least 17 years old • Weight at least 110 pounds • Be considered healthy

  4. 37% eligible to donate • 60% need blood at some time in their lives • <10% actually donates

  5. Why don’t people donate? • Fear of needles • No time • Can’t find a blood drive near them www.redcrossblood.org.
