  3. Job Requirements • Take care of people and their illnesses. • Try to prevent illness • Teach your patients and public about different medical conditions. • Keep charts, record patients symptoms and administer medications • Responsible for overseeing LPN’s, Orderlies, and Nursing Aids

  4. Education Required • Three different paths possible • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)- 4 years • Associates Degree in Nursing (AND)- 2 to 3 years • Diploma- administered in hospitals- 3 years

  6. Monetary Compensation/Benefits • Earn 26 days of paid annual leave • 13 days of sick leave each year • Some facilities provide child care If needed • Flexible 12 hour shift schedule • Leave whenever necessary if approved by supervisor • Salary- $ 46,785- $66,956

  7. I have learned a lot in Biology this year. I can use this stuff in the medical field because you have to know about medications before you can give them to patients. We also learned about body parts and certain bacteria.
