Chemical Burns • In the lab you can receive chemical burns if your skin accidentally comes into contact with corrosive agents • For these injuries you need to explain the basic first aid which should be given. • Then you must give an example of a situation when it would be dangerous to give first aid.

Electric Shocks • In a lab there is the potential to receive an electric shock from electrical devices or the main power supply. • For this injury you need to explain the basic first aid which should be given. • Then you must give an example of a situation when it would be dangerous to give first aid.

  10. Eye Injuries • When working in a lab your eyes could be cut or damaged by particles or chemicals. • For each of these 3 injuries you need to explain the basic first aid which should be given. • Then you must give an example of a situation when it would be dangerous to give first aid.

  11. First Aid Qualifications • Your task is to explain why it is useful to have First aid qualifications. • Find examples from the media to support this.
