  4. Adding/ Subtracting Note: Move up and down number line. If two signs side-by-side replace with a single sign. If signs different replace with – If signs same replace with + Examples 2 + (-6) 30 – 20 + 10 – 50 -10 – (-6) + 4 3 + (+3) + (-9) Directed Numbers

  5. Multiplying/ Dividing Note: Do sign 1st - if signs same answer is positive - if signs different answer is negative Then do multiplication/ division Examples (-7) × (3) 8 × (-10) (-5) × (+3) × (+4) (+24) ÷ (-3) (-30) ÷ (-6) Directed Numbers
