Why must this coalition exist? • Unprecedented challenges require a powerful response— greater than possible with individual efforts. • Positive messages must counteract the negative images that now dominate. • Focus must go beyond tourism to communicate the specific benefits of having a home in Mexico. • Timing is right to take advantage of the 78 million baby-boomers poised to retire—many earlier than planned, and with reduced assets (and thus more receptive to Mexico’s lower cost of housing/living).
