Salix Homes high rise buildings • 18 buildings • 8 with ACM panels • Magnolia, Mulberry, Sycamore, Riverbank and Newbank Tower – 20% feature panels • Canon Hussey and Arthur Millwood – 80% • Blackfriar Court – balconies only • 4 with a render solution • Oakhill, Cheshill, Nine Acre, Ascot, and Floral Court • 2 have no external covering • Whitefriar and Greyfriar Court • 3 under refurbishment • Canon Green Court, Albion Tower and Fitzwarren Court( work started)

4. Fire Alarm Installation - update • Fire alarms to 14 blocks now live and monitored 24 hours a day • Door knocking exercise completed. Any persons that missed the door knocking urged to get in touch • Alarm to Albion Towers near completion with Fitzwarren Court, Ascot Court and Canon Green Court to be installed in the upcoming Investment works

5. Cladding update • CHAM – work progressing on site • CH cladding replacement started • AM scaffold commenced • Sprinklers, new fire alarm & new lifts, • 52 week programme

6. Cladding update • Riverbank/Newbank • Render solution • Work commenced (16 week programme) • Blackfriar Court, awaiting planning consent (23 week programme) • Magnolia, Mulberry and Sycamore Court, awaiting Building Regulation approval (13 week programmes) still aim to complete by Apr 19

7. Home safety checks • Property safety officers to begin home visits in November • Purpose is to ensure homes are to the safest of standards for our customers • Checks are made to the front door, fire detection systems, ventilation, fuse boards and windows

8. Salix operative training • Investment into the training of Salix repair operatives completed in September • Operatives are now trained to Exova Q-Mark scheme for fire stopping, fire door maintenance, fire door installation & fire door repair • Three fully accredited auditors signing off all fire related works

9. Salix fire safety handbooks • Documents for all High Rise Block detailing the implemented fire safety for the individual building • Approved by MCHLG and being used as an exemplar model.

14. Recycling Household Waste Disposal • Rubbish chutes were installed at a time when recycling wasn’t considered and are now outdated. • Improved recycling facilities within the grounds of the block to increase recycling rates. • Increased investigation of rubbish left on landings to identify offenders through ‘Catch The Culprit’. • Programme of rubbish chute closures: • Fitzwarren Court – Part of Major Works • Ascot Court – Part of Major Works • Floral Court – Standalone Project – Utilizing unused land at the side of the block

15. Recycling Household Waste Disposal • Customers provided with household recycling bins. • Customer support/assistance to remove waste where appropriate e.g. unable to self-evacuate. • Education for customers about what can be recycled and the impact of not recycling. • Enforcement action taken for customers who leave rubbish on landings. • Removal of the chute system will reduce noise disturbance to customers.

16. Recycling Bulk Waste Removal • Currently rubbish stored in bulk rooms however frequently this is left on landings by customers – significant fire risk. • Risk of combustible items stored in the bulk room. • Propose to replace current arrangements with an appointment based service – items remain in flat until they are picked up for removal. • Analyse cost and recoup – service charge? One off payment? • Items will be recycled or re-used where possible.
