  3. Committee Scope • Advising and training related to information security and data privacy in justice information sharing from an industry perspective.

  4. Advisory Activities • Global Security Working Group • Global Privacy and Information Quality Working Group • Global Technical Privacy Task Team

Global Security Working Group • IJIS Representatives: Jim Cabral, Alan Harbitter. • Deliverables: • Reviewing Justice Reference Architecture Service Interaction Profiles. • Developing wireless Service Interaction Profiles. • Defining templates for memorandums of understanding for overall security framework.

  6. Global Technical Privacy Task Team • IJIS Representatives: Jim Cabral, Alan Harbitter. • Deliverables: • Implementing Privacy in Justice Information Sharing: A Technical Framework. • Draft presented to Global early July. • In review by XSTF. • Final version this fall.

  7. Global Privacy and Information Quality Working Group • IJIS Representative: Tim Skinner (SRA). • Deliverables: • Developing a paper on Information Quality. • Working on outreach on Privacy Guidelines to fusion centers.

  8. Global Shared Services Task Force • Future JRA task force. • Will need to define security and privacy-related services among many others. • IJIS role?

  9. Training Programs • SOA/Web Services Security Whitepaper • A best practices document for implementing the requirements in a web services environment. • Aligned with JRA security requirements. • Two case studies: Wisconsin, Ohio. • Draft to GSWG for review by end of August.

  10. Training Programs • Technical Assistance • Considering future trainings: • Privacy Technology Task Team framework. • Federated Identity and GFIPM. • No recent requests for security/privacy TAs. • Will work with partners (Global, JISP, SEARCH, NCSC) to increase visibility of IJIS TAs.

  11. Membership • Current membership. • One open position.
