Since the last meeting • Archiving core new features • Supervision Device is available (HDB/TDB ArchivingWatcher) • Diagnosis tool : detecting abnormal archiving interruption • Recovery : reactivate archiving on the failed attributes • Archiving service configuration (HDB and TDB) : To be able to dedicate a given archiver to a fixed set of attributes • Via the HDB/TDB Archiver Properties update • Make ArchivingManager exclude these attributes from load balancing • SnapExtractor is now ready Tango Meeting (Grenoble, Sep 2006)

Deployment • Deployed Configuration • 1 Oracle server (Linux) for TDB • 1 Oracle server (Linux) for HDB and Snapshot • All archivers devices deployed on one server (Linux) • Tango 5.3.4 distrib (with TangORB 4.9.2) • On HDB server • 1 HdbExtractor, 1 ArchivingManager, 1 HdbArchivingWatcher • 1 SnapArchiver, 1 SnapManager • On TDB server • 1 TdbExtractor , 1 TdbArchivingWatcher • On Archivers server • 10 Hdbarchivers (with 5 device instances each), • 10 Tdbarchivers (with 5 device instances each), • HDB Archiving period ranging from 10 to 60s for 2000 attributes • TDB Archiving not yet fully deployed Tango Meeting (Grenoble, Sep 2006)

Deployment • Deployed Configuration (follow up) • Load balancing • Each HdbArchiver : in charge of ~40 attributes • Each Tdbarchiver : in charge of ~(10-20) attributes • Major encountered problems • Oracle is very disk space consuming when handling spectrums • Still under investigation • Future Configuration (next week) • Support of 6000 attributes by the Hdb and Tdb Archivers Tango Meeting (Grenoble, Sep 2006)

  13. Missing features • Under development • Under sampling extracted data for View display • Validation of the dedicated archivers mechanism • Potential corrections due to large number of attributes to be archived • Not yet planned • Re-synchronize Archiving behavior between Oracle and MySql databases • Handling image attributes ?
