Overview A text wall (sometimes called an SMS wall) is a password protected (secure) website to which individuals can respond to requests via send text messages from a mobile phone text, twitter post or email. Presentations and classroom delivery can sometimes be very didactic. Information flows from the presenter/tutor to the learner however feedback can be lacking. If feedback opportunities exist then these tends to be used by a few people who are comfortable with asking questions during the session. Go to View > Header & Footer to edit

Considerations • Moving away from the fairly regimented activities supported by device driven response systems. • Text Walls offer: • On the Fly interactive activities . • Allow the opportunity for open responses rather than fixed (A,B,C or Y/N). • Two way messaging (at a cost). • Freedom i.e. not restricted by geographical location or devices. • One off setup no booking of equipment is required. • Cost can be an issue. • 10 pence per message (average) • Some systems can be configured for reverse charging • Textwall accounts can cost from £0 - £1000s to set up Go to View > Header & Footer to edit
