Where to Get Technical Support For help with PowerSchool-related questions or general data collection questions, go to District Technical Services’ Web page at http://ed.sc.gov/agency/cio/Technical-Support-Services/Power-School-Administration/ (select the “Contact District Services Support” link). To expedite processing, include your contact information (phone number and e-mail address) and enough details about the problem. If you are reporting an issue about a school, include the school’s name and 7-digit ID number.

  28. Selected Precode Fields • Common student demographic fields, such as gender, are not discussed in the manual. • The EFA classifications and EIA codes are not discussed. However, Appendix D contains a discussion of EFA coding.

  37. Customized Test Booklet Fields for Writing, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies • To be used properly these should be used in conjunction with the oral administration fields. Consult the table in the precode manual.

Consult the table in the precode manual. • Oral administration fields for the subjects were renamed to oral/signed administration fields. The codes from last year were also simplified.

  39. Frequently Asked Question for PASS • YES Should materials for all subjects be specified since the new assessment for science and social studies will be sampled in certain grades?

Ordering EOCEP, HSAP, and PASS Test Materials Using the Customized Test Booklet and Oral Administration Fields • Use the correct combination of Customized Test Booklet and Oral Administration field codes that represent the needs of students. All valid and invalid combinations are listed in the precode manual. • If there is an invalid combination, the customized material will be provided, but the oral/signed administration material will not.

  41. Ordering ELDA Test Materials Using the Customized Test Booklet and Oral Administration Fields

  42. Online Administration Fields for ELDA, EOCEP, HSAP, and PASS • For EOCEP, the fields default to Y, which means the student will take the EOCEP online test.

  43. Home Room • Be consistent when entering the home room information for the same teacher. Each name variation for the same person will be treated as a different name. • SC-Alt materials will now be sorted according to the home room field values.

  44. How Paper-and-Pencil Test Materials are Sorted

  45. Materials Sort Fields for Writing, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies • Read the detailed descriptions in the precode manual regarding how the sort order of PASS and HSAP materials are determined.

  46. Use one of four options to sort the materials: • üa 3-character alphanumeric entry (e.g., 321, A12, ABC, etc.) to sort materials by teacher, test administrator, or other grouping; üAWS to sort alphabetically within the school; üAWG to sort alphabetically within each grade; üor blank to sort by homeroom teacher (Read the explanation in the manual for full details.) Do not use AWS for PASS.
