  3. Quiz behavior expectations • Use your arm or your table bin to keep your work private • No speaking while tests are out • Raise hand to turn in quiz or if you need to get out of your seat • When you finish the quiz; silent reading or HW time

  4. Historians! It’s Friday!! 10/21/11 • Materials managers: please grab your social studies notebooks • Warm-up: Take a look at the documents (papers) on your tables. • Turn and talk: What are they? What do you notice?

  7. What is a constitution? THE LAW OF THE LAND!! • A document (paper) that lays out the structure for a government/country. • How the government is organized

  8. Why was is written? • Turn and Talk • To uphold the big ideas in the DOI (the right to freedom and happiness). • Power to rule must come from the people (not a king like George).

Welcome Readers! 10/21/11 • Materials managers: return SS, pick up readers and writers • Warm up: • Put a quick note on your adult signature in your writers notebook (on your revision letter) • Get out all reading logs and quick notes (take quick notes out of your book) • Begin silent reading
