Healthcare Reform Updates • Compliance • Continue with implementation plan and policy compliance: • Policy 4.30.10 • Student Handbook (Student and Co-Op) • Graduate Assistant Guide • Policy 5.15.40: this policy is unrelated to Healthcare Reform and requires separate compliance. • Waiver Requests – provisions for policy FTE waivers have been included. • Waivers should only be requested for unique/rare, unavoidable, justified circumstances. Reports Under Development • EPAF Hire Report • HR-471-EPAF Temp/Student Hires • Anticipated Availability October 25 • 3 different versions to run:  My Dept, My Coll/Div, and the Admin version • Available to BFHR Users • Report will show all EPAFs that were completed and loaded into Banner: • Includes those that were record removed from Banner. • The data represents what was in the EPAF, does not reflect changes made in Banner REPORTS UNDER DEVELOPMENT

FTE/Hours Tracking • Banner FTE/Hours Calculation • How does banner calculate number of hours based on FTE • 2080 – the standard established annual hours for full time employment is 2,080. • NMSU Pays – NMSU has established 24 pays during an annual cycle. • Hours Per Pay Period – 2080 ÷ 24 = 86.67 hours per pay period • Pays Per Month – there are two pay periods each month for a total of 173 hours established for full time employment. • Calculated at .74 FTE – 128 hours per month • Calculated at .475 FTE – 82 hours per month FTE/HOURS TRACKING

COMMUNICATING WITH HR As a reminder, HR Services provides the following contact lists on our website at http://hr.nmsu.edu/contacts/. • HRS Team Partners • HRS Employees by Department (NMSU Phonebook) • College/Division Contacts – HR Liaisons and Business Managers We are revising the process for communicating Payroll Timesheet issues: • Dedicated Payroll Communication’s Contact added for each summary org • Consistent process for emailing recipients on payroll issues • Revised email identifying role/action of recipients • Simplified process for viewing or changing summary org’s HR Contacts COMMUNICATING WITH HR
