Plan for 2013-14 In SY 13-14, Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) will provide students with an opportunity to meet the new state graduation requirements and gain valuable college and career readiness information in the following ways: ACT + Writing universal testing for all grade 11, no cost to students – no minimum score required for graduation ACCUPLACER testing for grade 12 who have not passed GRAD and/or have not taken another college placement assessment, no cost to students – no minimum score required for graduation GRAD retest for students who request administration, no cost to students – must meet/exceed GRAD passing score for diploma

  3. ACT Timeline Week-day administration: April 23, 2014 No make-up Rigorous criteria for administration Requires revision of school day/scheduling, etc.

Take-aways – SY 13-14 Plan ACT for all grade 11 students Accuplacer for some grade 12 students GRAD retest ONLY, no new GRAD assessments Grade 10 students still take Reading MCA Grade 11 students still take Math MCA No minimum score required for graduation with ACT or ACCUPLACER GRAD passing score required if student elects for GRAD retest
