Power-Aware Service Allocation and Reallocation in Clusters and Clouds Issues: • Different workload volatilityand system loads • Migration consumes time and resources • Powering on and off PM consumes time and resources • Heterogeneity of the PMs Results: • Combined use of VM Reconfiguration, Reallocation and PM power management as an autonomic manager. • The energy consumption can be highly reduced • A low SLA violation rate can be maintained.
