Who Are We? • Sisonke Partnership has established a powerful consortium of dynamic UK FE colleges comprising: • Barking and Dagenham College London) • Highbury College (Portsmouth) • North Hertfordshire College (just north of London) • Our partners colleges have a combined turnover of R1.5bn plus • We have formed an SA (Pty) company, set up banking facilities, & invested our own capital, with additional investment from our UK consortium members • This consortium is a for-profit JVC that also wants to add social value

Why are we Here? • We want ambitious and dynamic TVET college partners in South Africa for our consortium • We have a strong relationship with Ekurhuleni West College & others, based on mutual trust and shared values • We can assist other SA TVET colleges in skipping evolutionary stages so they can better compete globally • We believe that our consortium can assist SA TVET colleges in addressing the challenges and taking advantage of the many opportunities in the White Paper

Work Skills Training for EWC • Delivered a Pilot Project – February 2014 • Rolled out large scale delivery August 2014 • Trained a total of 180 students & 120 staff • Key elements – • Business & Customer Awareness • Problem solving & Working in a team • Job search/Job Application Skills • Interview Skills/Presenting yourself • Understanding your responsibilities at work • Understanding your customers
