ASPIRATIONS February 7, 2014 Dates to Remember Feb. 12- Native American Museum 10:45-11:30 Feb. 13- Money/Permission Slip Due for Perot Field Trip Feb. 14- Valentine’s Party 1:45-2:45 Feb. 17- No School Feb. 18- ASPIRE Academy Perot Field Trip Feb. 21- Talent Show 6:00 pm Feb. 25- Spring Creek Night Mrs. Ballard’s Class Objectives Math- Decimals Science- Weather Social Studies- Early Colonies in Texas Reading- Inferring Writing- Sentence revision and combining Valentine’s Party I forwarded an email allowing you to sign up for helping with the Valentine’s Party. Let me know if you didn’t receive it, and I’ll be sure to send it again. Please remember…if your child wants to share Valentine’s Cards to bring a Valentine for all students in the class. The 2nd page of this newsletter has a list of students in our class for reference as your child is addressing his/her Valentines. Supplies for the Classroom We are still in need of magazines to use for projects and collages. If you have some periodicals you no longer need, we would love to have them! Perot Field Trip Yesterday, you should have received a letter about our next ASPIRE field trip scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18th. Money and Permission slips are due back Thursday, Feb. 13th. We will be taking part in their Engineering Week activities as well as receiving a special lab session on Force, Motion, and Energy. It should be a great day!
