  2. Fondo Cultural: • School uniforms-Many schools in Spanish-speaking countries require their students to wear uniforms. Sometimes the uniform consist of something more like a smock that is worn over a student’s regular clothes and helps protect them from becoming dirty or torn during the school day. • How are these uniforms similar to or different from those worn by high school students in the United States?

The plurals of nouns and articles • The plurals of nouns and articles-To make nouns plural you usually add –s to words ending in a vowel and –es to words ending in a consonant. • Silla----sillasteclado---teclados cartel-----carteles • Singular nouns that end in z change the z to c in the plural. • El lápiz---------- los lápices • The plural definite articles are los and las. Like el an la, they both mean “the.” • Las sillas-----------the chairs
