General Chair Biographies • Dennis Roberson • Vice Provost for New Initiatives and Research Professor of CS, IIT • Co-Founder of Wireless Network and Communications Research Center (WiNCom) and PI for Spectrum Observatory at IIT • Hosted NSF Wireless PI Meeting - 2007 • Serves on eight company boards included four wireless companies • Former CTO of Motorola and of NCR • Joseph Evans • Distinguished Professor of EECS, University of Kansas • Founded NSF program in spectrum-aware networking • Led NSF GENI wireless (and cognitive) networking effort • Performing foundational science for TV band spectrum debate • Has served as IEEE TAC Secretary and in multiple TC roles • Has organized and chaired IEEE workshops and symposia
