  2. What it is? • The Lasso tool allows you to draw a free form shape to create a selection. • The Magic Wand tool looks for differences in color and contrast (pixel differences) depending upon various parameters you set.

  3. Types of Lasso Tools • Lasso- Creates a freeform shape for selection • Polygonal- Creates a series of straight lines to enclose a selection area • Magnetic- Creates a freeform shapes, but recognizes boundaries between colors

  4. Types of Wands • Quick Selection- Creates a selection based on parameters to define color • Magic Wand- Similar to Quick Selection but allows for more fine tuning
