Indoor Facilities Goal: Improve look / ambiance / comfort Actions: • A trophy cabinet should be setup. • Investigate options for heating in the hall • Framed Pictures on walls of past successes • More comfort in viewing area – tea/coffee / milk availability • Investigate the installation of cladding around the walls of the hall.   3. Outdoor Facilities Goal: Improve look / safety / security Actions: • Tarmac of car-park (investigate assistance of council) • Installation of lights • Landscaping outside • Replace lock with card-key • Security camera Owner(s): Ciarán Malkin, Joe Angelini & David McGuirk Next Steps:

  5. Juvenile Membership Goal: Build juvenile membership to over 75 Actions: • Look at reducing juvenile costs. • A stronger link to primary schools should be established. Including the club getting involved with coaching in the schools and also providing equipment where possible. • A community liaison to approach schools. • The Badminton Ireland Development Officer (Brenda Barry) may be able to help. (FAS supported people to go to schools – is funding available?) • Advertise in a local paper that there is a juvenile open day on Sunday mornings.   6. Juvenile Experience Goal: Facilitate fun and excellence in safe environment Actions: • Child welfare officer to be appointed. (Ann Toebes has been nominated.) • There are currently 4 juveniles at a Cork County level. Target is 20 juveniles. • More time allocated to fun juvenile time on weekends. • Fix Shuttle line at back of court 3 • Organise friendly matches for juveniles Owner(s): To be confirmed by Juvenile Committee Next Steps: • Confirm owner(s) at next juvenile meeting

  7. Badminton Excellence Goal: Improve excellence at all levels (from Division 1 to Novice, Adults and Juveniles.) Actions: • Investigate the option of utilizing any available FAS badminton. • More high performance coaching training for div 1/2 players. • Coaching for div 3 /4 • Coaching for div 5/6/novice • Free/Reduced membership for juvenile coaches? • Some more exercise equipment such as a rowing machine, skipping ropes etc. that can be used alongside the bicycle should be invested in.
