Balt City Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • In 2008, Baltimore City had 60 Non CINA Uncontested Court decisions and 98 Contested Court decisions. Of the 98 Contested Court cases, Deanna Watkins, a paralegal, handled 44. The next highest case total for contested court cases by a case handler was 8. • Of the 98 Contested Court cases in 08, 44 were Landlord/Tenant, 21 Family Law, and 27 involved public or subsidized housing. • In 08, Administrative Hearing closings numbered 108

Metro Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • In 2008, Metro had 59 Non CINA Uncontested Court decisions and 53 Contested Court decisions. Of the 53 Contested Court cases, 36 were Family Law. • Of Contested Court cases, Arlene Callender had 8, Mary Cheng 7, and a host others with 3 or less. • In 08, Administrative Hearing closings numbered 71 (v. 108 in BaltCity)

Anne Arundel Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • From 05-08, Administrative Hearing closings numbered 19,16,13,13, respectively. • In 2008, 14 court cases were contested. Lisa Sarro had the most with 4, four others had 2 contested court cases.

Baltimore County Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • 26 non-CINA cases were contested in Court in 08. Susan Tannebaum handled 10 of those, Lauren Walker had 7. Next in line was Mike Jeffers with 4.

Lower Shore Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • 17 cases were closed as contested court cases in 2008. Of those, Bob McCaig handled 8, while Kilmer closed 7. • Admin Hearings, which totaled 23 in 2008, consisted primarily of Unemployment Insurance (13).

Northeast Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • Four Non-CINA cases were closed as contested court cases in 2008. Jeanette Cole handled all four. Dorcey Berndt and Sarah Bowes handled 10 and 8 uncontested guardianships, respectively. • Admin Hearings, which totaled 11 in 2008, consisted primarily of Subsidized Housing issues (10).

Midwest Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • Of the 93 litigation closings in Midwest, more than half (49) were administrative hearings. • The increase in litigation here from 06 to 08 is driven primarily by an increase in administrative hearings. Court-based closings totaled 50, 39, and 42 for 06,07,and 08, respectively. Admin Hearing closings during same period showed 18, 35, 49.

Southern MD Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • Jump in Litigation closings for 08 is product of contested (16) and non-contested (8) court decisions, which totaled 24 in 08—twice as many as were closed for 07. • Margaret Maupin led non-CINA contested case closings with 7. Jacob Ourslander was second with 5. • Admin Hearing closings jumped from avg. of 11 per year (05-07) to 31 in 2008.

Upper Shore Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • 6 cases were identified as being contested in court. Four were subsidized housing and 2 were custody cases. Bill Leahy did all of them. • Admin Hearing closings avg. 6.5 per year from 05-08. In 08, (7 closed) 3 of these cases were Unemployment Comp, 2 SSI, and 2 were subsidized housing.

Western Close Up: Closed Cases And Level of Service • Litigation closings are Non-CINA cases that involve Negotiation with Litigation, Uncontested and Contested Court decisions, and Administrative Hearings • 23 Non-CINA cases handled in court were contested in 08, 19 were Family Law related. Cynthia Fennimore, Carolyn Lathrop, and Carrie Beresford handled 8, 8, and 7 of those cases, respectively. • Admin Hearing closings range from 12-16 per year. In 2008, Unemployment Comp
