  1. Additional Information to Slide #12 – Average Cost of Education The  amounts include tuition and mandatory and course specific fees; they do not include optional fees, books or cost of living.  Current and total cost is the average of tuition and fees for undergraduates and for graduates excluding MBA, MPA, PPA, PharmD, and Law.  The actual amounts paid by each student are determined based on their individual course loads and colleges. The indicated amount is the simple average of those amounts  estimated for the average undergraduate student taking 15 semester credit hours and a graduate student taking 9 hours.  Some students could pay more and some could pay less.    The academic sustainability tuition ($722) applies to all schools and programs including professional school programs.  All increases are the same even though the program costs may differ.   Academic sustainability tuition is set at a rate to include financial aid set asides.  Fee increases are separate from this tuition amount. The set aside of 28 percent applies only to the academic sustainability portion of the tuition; it does not apply to the fee component.
