  2. Safety training in Belgium Background • Construction sector in Belgium set-up a specific fund (Fund for Training & Education in the Construction sector FVB-FFC) to improve training for the workers • See also: Under Construction I

Training during workhours • Costs for training are refunded by FVB • Labour cost is refunded by FVB-FCC • Maximum of 120 hour/year/worker • Training costs are paid by FVB-FFC: • For recognised trainingcenters: • All cost for technical training (max. 11 euro/hour) • All cost for non-technical training (max. 6 euro/hour) • Other trainingcenters: • Intervention of 5 euro/hour • For safety training: • Intervention of 5 euro/hour

  4. Training during workhours • Amount of training hours last year: • 437.736 hours • 22.346 workers (= 13,8 % of all workers) • 2.812 firms (= 9,1 % of all firms) • Evolution in time
