  4. The Unpageables…..Night Float residents are unavailable by page during the day, they are sleeping….

  5. Residents unavailable by pager: • Wake • Night Float/Evening Float • Special Month (unless in clinic that day) • Vacation • MICU/CCU (cardiology) post-call: These residents do 30 hr shifts, so they will not be available by pager the day following their call day.

  6. So how do I contact these residents? • All residents should still be checking their emails, regardless of the rotation. So, send an email letting them know they have a webcis phone message. • Exception: The residents who are on special months outside the country may not have access to internet.

  7. And if all else fails……. • Contact the ambulatory chief resident. • Include in the webcis phone message: (1) pt name and MR #, (2) the PCP involved in pt’s care, (3) the issue that needs to be addressed (4) a contact # for the patient.

  8. How do I find an individual Resident’s schedule?First, click on the “Block” button

  9. Then, choose the year for the residentMedicine residents are R1, R2 and R3

  10. Then choose the resident

  11. Next, click on the month of interest.(Once clicked, it will be highlighted in yellow)

  12. Finding out who is in Same Day ClinicGo back to homepage ( ) icon , go to dropdown menu and select SDC

  13. This gives you a list of residents in SDCRoll mouse over blue arrows to see what they mean
