Board Policies • Existing law requires the Board of Governors, in consultation with institutional representatives of the California Community Colleges and statewide faculty and staff organizations, to develop criteria and standards to send an annual budget request for the California Community Colleges to the Governor and the Legislature. • Further, the standing orders of the Board of Governors also generally require the Chancellor to seek the advice of the Consultation Council regarding positions on state legislation.
