We are here to support and encourage our students Guidance Counselors assist students in achieving optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and values, set appropriate career goals and realize full academic potential to become productive, contributing members of the world community. HOW DO WE DO THIS? Academic Counseling Personal Counseling Career Counseling College Counseling

Our FRESHMEN Year Focus • Our OBJECTIVE is to assist students with their transition to high school and provide them with opportunities for self-discovery in order to promote their academic and personal success • How do we accomplish this? • Goal Setting • Personal Growth and Discovery • Personality Inventory • Learning Style Inventory • Scheduling • Ensure student is on track with graduation requirements • Individual and Group Meetings

Our SOPHOMOREYear Focus • Our OBJECTIVE is to provide students with opportunities that allow them to explore a variety of careers that are of interest to them which will allow them to begin to envision their post-secondary life. • How do we accomplish this? • CAREER EXPLORATION • Career Interest Inventory • Career Paper or Project • Scheduling/ Review Teacher Recommendations • Ensure student is on track with graduation requirements • Individual and Group Meetings • Explore Post-Secondary Options utilizing Naviance

Our JUNIOR Year Focus • Our OBJECTIVE is to assist students in the development of their post-secondary goals and cultivate of plan on how to reach their ambitions • Junior College and Career Conferences • Meet with individual families to discuss college application process and schedule courses for Senior year • Introduce College timeline • Resume Writing • Scheduling • Ensure student is on track with graduation requirements

Our SENIOR Year Focus • Our OBJECTIVE is to assist students in the development of their post-secondary goals and cultivate of plan on how to reach their ambitions • Individual Meetings • Assisting students in completion/submission of college applications or career preparation • Common Application Workshop • Financial Aid Night • Provide information regarding Scholarship Opportunities • Scheduling • Ensure student is on track with graduation requirements (four year planner) • Submit final transcript to college of their choice • Transition to College: What to Expect Programming
