Ring Building Contractor Outreach • Construction Outreach Expression of Interest issued to the top 50 construction firms 12/14/07 • Eight firms with appropriate qualifications have expressed interest in bidding on the Ring building as a General Contractor. Four of the firms are local • E.W Howell, Dematteis, Torcon, J.Kokalakis (local firms) • Pike Company, Shaw Group, Washington Group, and J.E Dunn

Conventional Construction Informational Meeting • 3/20/08 Project Presentations to Construction Firms • Representatives from 6 General Contractors • Shaw, Torcon, Dematteis, E.W.Howell, Washington Group, J. Kokolakis • Representatives from 3 Subcontractors • Eldor (electrical), Roger & Sons (concrete), G&M Earthmoving (excavation) • Excellent feedback from contractors • Burns & Roe has expressed interest as of 3/25/08 • Pike and J.E. Dunn have dropped out

Ring Building Procurement Schedule • 1/08 Expression of interest • 2/08 Project Workshop ,Procurement, ESSH, Construction • 3/20/08 Project presentations to contractors • 4/10/08 Draft RFP issued to consultant, inside/outside legal review • 5/01/08 Draft evaluation criteria to DOE/BHSO • 5/15/08 Draft RFP to industry • 6/09/08 Final RFP issued to DOE/BHSO • 9/08 DOE reviews /approves RFP and proposed contract • 9/26 RFP Issued to contractors • 2/09 Contract Award

  6. Conventional Construction Procurements • A/E Procurement Ring Building (HDR) • Title III negotiations to begin in May 08 ( Est $3.6M) • Estimated award September 08 • Site Preparation • IFB Issuance scheduled for August 08 (Est $1M) • Estimated award October 08
