  2. The coat-of-arms on the cover of this CD may not be affiliated with the Lyons family. It has been selected solely for cosmetic purposes. A browser (Netscape, Internet explorer, etc.) viewable and printable history including high resolution reproduction of original vital records, wills, censuses, biographies, newspapers articles, obituaries and portraits. IBM & Macintosh Compatible. The HOMEPAGE is designated as INDEX.HTML with many but NOT ALL files and pictures accessible from this starting point. Any *.HTML file can be viewed by double clicking (opening) or dragging to your favorite browser (Netscape or Explorer). Exploring the CD in the graphics directory will reveal many other records not yet linked. The CDROM is AUTOLAUNCHING on PC’s only (NOT MacIntosh). Upon inserting CD into drive, a browser will launch automatically followed by the index file or homepage. BE PATIENT as some older CD drives take awhile recognizing the CD. All pictures and images of documents and records are located in the GRAPHICS directory organized by FAMILY SURNAME subgroups. Many but not all source document images have been linked within the HTML pages. Some files may appear unrecognizable by a PC. These may be older MacIntosh files generated in CLARIS WORKS or TIFF images (usually in folders designated “Dad’s …….”). Although the files are viewable in an INTERNET-based application, they are LOCAL and DO NOT represent the LATEST UPDATE (ie ‘Working Draft’). A few LINKS point to other user web sites (may not be current), genforum and email addresses on the INTERNET and will require an Internet connection via modem or high speed internet. To view the latest history update (changes frequently), use the internet and GOTO the our homepage by typing http://karenandmike.biz Comments & Suggestions are always appreciated. Contact Mike Williamson at mikewilliamson@verizon.net or 410-838-1071.
