Site Location If a facility location is determined: • Address • Cobb County Tax Parcel ID# Available at: http://gis.cobbcountyga.gov • Description of property /acreage • Plan to lease/purchase property (lease rate/purchase price) • Lease/purchase price in financial plan If a facility location is not determined: • Zip Codes/Attendance Zones of public schools • Description of type/size of property being sought • Professional confirmation of site selection/budget in financial plan

Georgia Department of Education Approval Facility Guidance Resources available at www.doe.k12.ga.us Following six requirements cannot be waived by a charter school: • Site approval • Certificate of occupancy • Architectural plan submittal and review • Building construction codes • Public Works Construction Act • Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA)

Construction • Schedule for design, permitting, bidding & construction of facility • Proposed scope of work and estimated cost • Design professionals and oversight of construction • Compliance of applicable codes and ordinances of jurisdiction • Plan review and approval from Georgia Department of Education • Compliance with Public Works Construction Act and obtain legal counsel • Licensed, experienced and insured professionals • Certificate of Occupancy

  8. Other Considerations • Documents related to facility provided to CCSD • CCSD staff inspections of facility • Subsequent renovations reviewed/approved by CCSD • AHERA • Emergency Safety Plan
