Monday 25th September • In your conference bag: • Key reference booklet with all programme information; maps of the CICG rooms and TPG bus and tram routes; general information; etc. • Badge = Bus pass (until Friday). Inside the CICG, you must wear your badge at all times • Coffee breaks: in Exhibition area of CICG at 10.30 and 15.30 • Lunch breaks: at Novae restaurant, 1st floor between 12.30 and 14:00 every day except Friday • Industrial Exhibition in the entrance hall – it will remain open until Wednesday afternoon EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

  3. Conference Programme • Programme for the day (including any late changes) can be viewed : • on the conference web site • on notice boards by the main entrance • at the door of each room and on the TV screens around the Centre • Speakers: all presentations from the conference laptop, NOT from personal laptops. • Talks must be pre-loaded via Indico or a USB stick. • Please contact your session chairman or track convenor at least one day before your talk EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

Tuesday 26th September • Two special events on Tuesday: • Group photograph: will be taken before the coffee break on Tuesday morning • Location to be announced Tuesday morning, depending on the weather • Demo and Poster Session: • Tuesday afternoon in the entrance hall next to the Exhibition • Demonstrators encouraged to test their setup this afternoon or tomorrow morning. • Help is available but contact Massimo Lamanna in the first instance EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

  5. Networking • The entire CICG is covered by multiple wireless hubs. The SSID to set is FIPOI03 • In addition, there are 10 fixed terminals with free Internet access spread around the Centre EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

  6. Social events • Tonight, 17:30 – 19:00 Welcome Reception, 1st floor • Wednesday: Gala Dinner, Hotel Crowne Plaza • Extra tickets can be bought at Kuoni reception desk, 80CHF – there is a limited number available so see Kuoni today • Busses to the Hotel depart between 18:00 and 18:30 from the CICG and will go back via the CICG to downtown Geneva after the event • Remember your ticket for the event which was handed out to you with your badge • Note for one and two day attendees, your ticket does NOT include the Gala Dinner EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

  7. Surveys • Conference feedback questionnaire online, link sent by email • Fill it out by Friday 29th at 10am to enter the prize draw which will be made at the Closing Session on Friday morning • The questionnaire will remain open until 6th October • Training questionnaire from activity NA3 • GAP questionnaire (for all female members of the project), as part of EGEE-II GAP: • Male members at next conference EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

Excursions • Information at Kuoni reception desk for: • Recommended restaurants • Geneva or Lausanne visits (all details in booklet) • CERN visits (Wednesday and Friday afternoons) – there are a limited number of places left for each of these EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006

  9. General • NOTE: No smoking on CICG premises • Questions on tourism, hotels, train and boat times, taxis, etc.: • should be addressed to Kuoni at the registration desk • Questions on the conference programme: • should be addressed to a member of the LOC team, a member of the PO or at the LOC Office, Room 14 on the Second Floor • If you take interesting and/or amusing photographs of the conference: • link on the conference web site (under “Feedback”) via which you can share them with your colleagues • CICG closes at 19:00 unless special sessions are planned EGEE'06 Conference, CICG - Logistics, 25th September 2006
