  3. What does the CAHSEE cover? • English and Mathematics

  4. What is a passing score? • The range of the scores is 250 to 450. The passing score is 350.

  5. CAHSEE Dates • November 3 & 4, 2010 (juniors & seniors) • February 2 & 3, 2010 (seniors only) • March 16 & 17, 2010 (10th , 11th , 12th ) (9th grade practice exam) • May 11 & 12, 2010 (10th , 11th , 12th )

  6. Preparing for the CAHSEE • Make sure you are studying in your English and Math classes • CAHSEE Problem of the Day (English & Math Classes) • “MyGuide” resources (English & Math Classes)

  7. What does the CST/STAR cover? • English-Language Arts • Mathematics • History-Social Science • Science • Dates: May 17 – 20, 2010

  9. Tips for Studying • Start early to prepare • Don’t do it alone • Read for fun

  10. General Tips for Multiple Choice Questions • It’s OK if you don’t know the answer to every question. • Answer easy questions first. • Eliminate answers you know are wrong. • If you’re still not sure of the answer, guess. • Check your work.
