  2. 3 5 2 3 7 Step 1: Find the mean of the whole data set. 5 + 3 + 2 + 7 + 3 = 20 ÷ 5 = 4 Step 2: Find the difference between the mean and each of the data in the data set. 5 - 4 = 1 4- 3 = 1 4- 2 = 2 7- 4 = 3 4- 3 = 1 Step 3: Find the mean of the differences you found. 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 8 ÷ 5 = 1.6 M.A.D. = 1.6
