    1. MYP Unit Planner Stage 1

    2. Focus = Stage 1 of unit planner We need units! Stage 1 has all the main components needed to teach a unit and give MYP grades. Stage 2 can be completed when you have more time.

    3. How many units do I need? 1 unit for each AOI = 4 units 2 grades for each criterion in your subject area Multiple Preps: 1 prep (class teach the most) = 2 grades each criterion or 2 preps = 1 grade each criterion

    4. When ? Today Oct 18th (EBL Day) Oct 19th (during prep) Oct 22nd (collaboration) Oct 29th (EBL Day) Stage 1 units due = OCT 29th

    9. Area of Interaction Focus Choose one of the AOI: Environments Community and Service Health and Social Education Human Ingenuity Approaches to Learning will be in every unit.

    10. Choosing an AOI What fits naturally? Promote learning that is enduring and essential. Include an explanation as to why you choose your AOI.

    14. Significant Concept Ideas you want kids to remember. Real-life concept Apply to other subjects Not skills Could be a theory, principle, generalization, or process.
