  2. Outline • Where are all the Statisticians? • Avenues of Collaboration • Communities of Practice • Special Interest Teams • Newcastle Modelling Community • Tools for Collaboration • External Collaboration

Where are all the Statisticians? • In Newcastle I am the only statistician. • This means that collaboration is essential on many levels: • Departmental collaboration with fellow statisticians on other sites. • Collaboration with Modelling experts • Collaboration with practitioners -capability building.

  5. Modelling Community • “Club” for those interested in Modelling. • Modelling includes Statistical / Empirical Modelling as well as first principal modelling. • Program of sharing, training, coaching and collaborating.

  6. 16.6 million pixel resolution gives superb clarity What’s it For? • Facilitating Integrated Modelling • Cross Functional Collaboration • Team Discussions • Data Manipulation – on a large scale!

  7. External Collaboration • Conferences, User groups (especially JMP User group) • Extensive “Connect and Develop” program globally working with Universities on a large number of projects. • Current collaboration with Imperial College under an EPSRC fellowship.
