  3. In conclusion… • We start with 2 molecules of acetic acid. • 1 molecule of hydroxide reacts with 1 molecule of acetic acid to produce 1 molecule of acetate and 1 molecule of water. • After the reaction, we have 1 molecule of acetic acid, 1 molecule of acetate ion, and 1 molecule of water.
