  11. Rough RiderHorseback Overnighter Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights during Boy Scout Summer Camp This activity is recommended for any Boy Scout. Scouts leave the Horse Corral at 4:00 pm and ride for about 45 minutes to an hour to the campsite. Sleeping gear is driven to the campsite and driven back again in the morning. Dinner is brought up to the campsite. Scouts sleep under the stars and ride back in the morning in time for breakfast.

  12. John Wayne Trek Overnighter On Thursday NightThis is a C.O.P.E. activity and Boy Scouts must be at least 13 years old to participate. Scouts leave Camp at 4:00 pm and return in time for breakfast the next morning. Scouts hike approximately one mile to the campsite. Personal sleeping gear is driven to the campsite and is driven back again in the morning. Dinner is brought up to the campsite. Scouts learn about Dutch Oven cooking, shoot a black powder rifle, and spend the night under the stars in the land once visited by John Wayne himself.

  13. Native American Overnighter Wednesday Night This activity is recommended for any Boy Scout. Scouts leave Camp at 4:00 pm and return in time for breakfast the next morning. Scouts hike 3/4 of a mile to the campsite. Personal sleeping gear is driven to the campsite and is driven back again in the morning. Dinner is brought up to the campsite. Scouts learn about the native inhabitants of the San Bernardino Mountains and get to shoot with a bow and arrow and throw a tomahawk. Scouts learn different Indian games, sign language, and sleep in a Teepee.

  14. Full Class A Uniform is required for the evening flag ceremony and dinner each night. Competitions determine who eats first, and one of them is uniform inspection, so don't forget to bring your full uniform to camp….

  15.  …The dining hall is only a few years old. We eat meals together as a Troop. There is a large pool, teepees, a Trading Post, handicraft, archery, climbing, shotgun, and rifle venues; plus a wide range of programs for merit badges and a Pathfinder program to help Scouts reach 1st Class rank.

  16. Adults at Camp • All parents may register as leaders to attend camp. • Leadership requirements are: • Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Training prior to camp.- Wear Full Class A uniform, for travel (to and from camp), and for all ceremonies required at camp.- Pay leader fee of $160 • Medical forms completed prior to camp

  18. Medical Forms Needed • Class 1 (Personal Health Record): All participants (Adults and youth)must fill out the Class 1 personal health update no more than 6 months prior to arrival at camp. • And …

Medical Forms Needed • Class 2 (Medical Evaluation): All participants less than 40 years old must have a physical examination performed by a licensed practitioner within the last 3 years to coming to camp. Other non-scouting forms can be used as long as they meet normal evaluation standards.OR • Class 3 (Medical Evaluation): All adults over the age of 40 and participants in strenuous activity must have a Class 3 physical examination annually. • Please attach a photocopy of each person’s medical card to his or her camp medical records.
