Create • I give you a the description of a person’s means • I give you their “sentence” (their goal – low level of specificity) • You create an idea for a firm or a product or a service or an activity within an existing enterprise that: • Uses (at least some of) the person’s means • Makes money (you must outline buyers and sellers) • Advances their progress on their “sentence” (vision) • For each set of means where you create a viable solution, you get a story of a person with those means and vision – and what they are doing (likely in a different way from what you imagined – no right or wrong here)

  3. 1 Means: Independent businessperson - ran own digital photography company for 12 years, until the service became commodity; Engineer with a BE in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Management; Instructor at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Sentence: Improve the preparedness of engineering graduates for the real world, and get my 7 year old son away from video games.

  4. 2 Means: In the weeks after the Balkans conflict ended, created the first and largest internet service provider in Kosovo. Worked in in West Africa, setting up computer systems to help reunite refugee children with their families. Sentence: Use technology to to deliver better, less expensive and more widely available healthcare.

  5. 3 Means: Spent eight years consulting to US waste conglomerate Waste Management. Experience in marketing strategy, sales and advertising for Shell Oil, Exxon, Goodyear and Coca-Cola. BS in Economics and Government from the University of Texas. won a Mashable Award for Best Environmental Website. Sentence: The annual waste generated by the US into trucks, the convoy necessary to carry it all would circle the equator of the earth 600 times. I need to help solve this.
