Truthfulness. Vs. Deception. Truth is the foundation upon which anything that stands is built. We must speak the truth in our hearts before we speak it with our mouths. Every lie is another link in the chain around our souls, but telling the truth sets us free. Bible says……….

  2. Truth is the foundation upon which anything that stands is built.

  3. We must speak the truth in our hearts before we speak it with our mouths.

  4. Every lie is another link in the chain around our souls, but telling the truth sets us free.

  5. Bible says……… “ Ye shall know the truth, and the truth make you free.” John 8:22

  6. Saying whatever comes to mind is not truthfulness, but a lack of discretion.

  7. Lions don’t lie.

  8. Lions don’t lie. they always speak the truth. Lions clearly reveal their intention with the positions of their ears, the postures of their mouths, and the sounds of their roars.

  9. What Does Truth Do?

  10. 1.Truth brings us into Christ…

  11. 2. Truth brings us to the light… “O send out your light and truth; let them lead me.” Psalm 43:3

  12. 3.Truth purifies our souls….

  13. 4.Truth frees us...

  14. 5.Truth leads us in the right way…

  15. 6.Truth equips us to worship God…

  16. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

  17. 7.Truth cleanses us of iniquity… “Thy word have I hid in my heart, That I might not sin against Thee.” Psalm 119:11

  18. 8. Truth preserves leaders… “Mercy and truth preserve the king.”Proverbs 20:28

  23. 4.God’s Words is truth….. 5.God’s Law is truth….. 6.The Gospel is truth….

  24. Those that are closest to truth are closest to God.

  25. Personal Evaluation

  26. 1.Do you ask others to point out your blind spots?

  27. 2.Do you exaggerate your achievements to others?

  28. 3.Do you lie or tell only part of the truth to escape the consequences of your actions?

  29. 4.Do you misrepresent the Lord with inconsistent or negative attitude?

  30. Five I Wills

  31. I will tell the truth.

  32. I will encourage others to tell the truth.

  33. I will not cheat or steal.

  34. I will admit it when I am wrong.

  35. I will not exaggerate to make things seem different than what they are.
