  2. Duo Tonos – presented by Music Network “…among Ireland’s most vibrant and imaginative early music performers” Irish Baroque group, Tonos, comprises of Róisín O’Grady (Soprano) and Eamon Sweeney (Baroque Guitar). They specialise in the little-known repertoire for voice and guitar from seventeenth-century Europe. Tonos has recently given recitals in the National Concert Hall, the National Gallery of Ireland (broadcast in concert by RTÉ Lyric FM), Queen’s University in Belfast and the Royal Society of Arts in London. Richard III – William Shakespeare “Now is the winter of our discontent” Fast + Loose present Shakespeare in the Castle – Richard III. In the Chapel Royal, on a dark winters night, witness the tale of the most ruthless King of England. Beastly, power-hungry and malicious, Richard will stop at nothing to be crowned King of England. Following the War of the Roses, Richard murders, betrays and seduces on his rise to power and cursed descent. Fresh from the success of Shakespeare in the Park’s Twelfth Night in Fitzwilliam Square, Fast + Loose are back with Shakespeare’s ferocious thriller Richard III. This exciting new company, including an ensemble of 14 of Dublin’s top actors, take on one of the most notorious Shakespearean villains. Taking Dublin Castle by storm, Fast + Loose will be at the Chapel Royal from December 6th – 11th at 7.30pm nightly. Farewell Winston – A Rehearsed Reading Written by Cathal Courtney, directed by Denis Conway. Featuring Barry McGovern and Philip O’Sullivan. Ouroboros Theatre are proud to present a rehearsed reading of Cathal Courtney’s new play, Farewell Winston. It’s January 1965 and Irish President, Eamon De Valera has just heard that Winston Churchill is dying in London. De Valera knows the death will require an official response, but what is he to say? With Churchill running provocatively around his head, the aging De Valera struggles to write a fair and accurate summation of a political relationship that defined such a large portion of both men’s careers. A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens Adapted by Cathal Courtney and narrated by Denis Conway. Ouroboros Theatre present A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations, why not take some time out to enjoy this amusing and surprise laden retelling of Dickens’ timeless classic. For adults and children alike, this Ouroboros presentation is bound to put you in the mood for the festive season. REMEMBER TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS Tickets required for each event.
