GAMES AND REVENUE LOSS – WORST CASE 54 High Schools in Broward County includes Public & Private Varsity Loss of 5 games = 270 Total Loss of Games X 2 for Boys and Girls Contests = 540 games x $120 per game = $64,800 Loss for Varsity Bsk JV Loss of 10 games = 540 total X 2 for Boys and Girls Contests = 1080 games x $100 per game = $108,000 Total Maximum Loss of revenue is $172,800 29 Public High Schools in Broward Minimum projected loss is $92,800

SEMINOLE LEAGUE UPDATE • All is going well • No reports of incidents or anything out of the ordinary • Some evaluator notes commented on no division line through the center circle, no coaches box, and no “X” for subs • A pox on all of us who worked prior to last Thursday, including me for not recognizing this issues. • Evaluations are being done on a timely basis • Evaluation Policy

  21. STATE SERIES CREW GUIDELINES & STRUCTURE Our goal was too provide an environment where the best officials can excel and be rewarded for their efforts.

STATE SERIES CREW GUIDELINES & STRUCTURE • No member of Recommendation Committee on first two crews for boys or girls. – approved by Board on 4/26/09 • No general member can be on top Two Crews for girls and boys in same season. – approved by Board on 4/26/09 • If on State Crew in any given year, the following year you can be on State Crew for opposite sex competition only. – approved by Board on 4/26/09 • Any member cannot attend States, boys and/or girls for more than two years in a row. – approved by Board on 4/26/09

STATE SERIES CREW GUIDELINES & STRUCTURE • If you went to States in previous year you can be no higher than Crew#3 for the same sex in the coming year. – approved by Board on 6/24/09 change approved 3-0 on 09/20/09 • Transfers to the BCBOA cannot be on Crews 1, 2 or 3 in their first year with the Association. • If you are on a State Series Crew and the State removes you from that crew, you will be no higher than the fifth (5th) Crew in the following year. If you give back a regional assignment two years in a row, you will be removed from the list in the third year. - approved 4-0 at 6/24/09 Board meeting. Change approved 3-0 on 9/20/09

  24. STATE SERIES CLINIC INFORMATION The BCBOA has about 29 Officials that have not had a State Field Clinic since or prior to 2005. You must take the field clinic this Fall to be eligible to participate in the State Series. Last State Field Clinic Attended - 2005 or prior – 29 Members 2006 – 19 Members

  25. STATE SERIES CLINIC INFORMATION In light of the economic times the FHSAA has approved an extension of Saturday hours at the South Gulf Coast State Field Clinic in Cape Coral on October 24th. The clinic hours will be extended to 9.5 hrs. on Saturday. More details to follow.
